NIGHT COURT GRUDGE MARKIE TOOK TO GRAVE

Post detested Harry Anderson

-

SITCOM star Markie Post carried a nasty secret to the grave — she hated her bullying Night Court co-star Harry Anderson!

Publicly, the 70-year-old beauty, who died following a brutal battle with cancer on Aug. 7, said she was “devastated” when Harry, 65, was killed by a stroke in 2018 — but sources insist that wasn’t the whole truth.

“Markie had the grace to say nice things when Harry passed, but that doesn’t mask the hurt she carried with her to the end from his behavior on the set,” says a source.

“He was mean and bullying.”

While Harry played lovable judge Harry T. Stone on the comedy from 1984 to 1992, he became a demanding diva and “tyrant” during the sitcom’s later years.

The lanky star shouted at writers and directors, once got into a shoving match with 6-foot-8 co-star Richard Moll, who played bailiff Bull, and even jeered at Markie, one of the public defenders, when she flubbed her lines.

“Markie never forgot that,” says the source. “She very much felt that Harry was way out of line, not just with her, but the rest of the cast.

“Harry’s boorishness alienated most of the others, too.

“They had little to do with him after the show and it definitely hurt Harry’s career afterward.”

As GLOBE previously reported, actor-magician Harry never found success following Night Court and died a bitter, broken man haunted with regret.

“Harry learned in the end that he should have treated everyone with more respect and dignity — but by then it was too late!” the source adds.
