AARON RODGERS BLINDSIDED BY JEOPARDY! SNUB

-

SNUBBED NFL superstar Aaron Rodgers is hopping mad after losing out on his dream gig as host of his favorite game show, Jeopardy, insiders squeal!

The 37-year-old Green Bay Packers hunk went all-out to land the TV quiz job as bigwigs auditioned a series of hopefuls following the cancer death of the show’s beloved host, Alex Trebek, last November.

In the end they picked a double act of Mike Richards, Jeopardy!’s executive producer, and brainy Big Bang Theory actress Mayim Bialik, also a neuroscientist — leaving Aaron’s head in a fumble!

“Aaron was told that he had a real chance at landing the job but now it’s very obvious to him that they were never going to hire him,” snitches a source. “He put his heart and soul into guest hosting and promoted it like crazy, so finding out that the offer was never real has been a huge blow.”

The quarterback was even more upset because “Jeopardy! is his favorite show of all time,” adds the source. “Now this has tarnished it for him. He’s saying he probably won’t be able to watch it ever again because of this betrayal.”

His fiancée, Divergent star Shailene Woodley, 29, is also heartbroken, sources dish.

“She was his biggest cheerleader and very focused on helping him land this gig,” the spy notes. “She’s crushed for him.”
