Won’t stop grilling girls about love life
BOSSY Michelle Obama’s meddling is giving daughter Malia, her beau, Rory Farquharson, and his family fits and threatening the young lovebirds’ hot and heavy romance, spies dish!
Malia, 23, graduated from Harvard last May, got an apartment and snagged a writing job with movie producer Donald Glover, but insiders insist the kid’s still not on her own because Michelle keeps sticking her nose in her daughter’s life with Harvard Law School grad Rory.
And while the British-born hunk’s dad, Charles, works at a prestigious London investment firm and his mom Catherine’s an accountant, Michelle keeps prying, according to insiders.
“Rory is a great catch and he comes from a very wealthy family, but Michelle’s annoying Rory’s relatives in the U.K. too with her intrusive questions and power plays,” tattles the insider.
“No one likes to be grilled like that, but Michelle is oblivious.
“Malia gets so mad at her mom and is so embarrassed, but Michelle is the boss of this family and won’t back down. She pushes her way in and checks up on them and grills Rory on his intentions.
“She won’t give them a moment’s peace.”
The former first lady’s especially pushy about “when they’re setting a date if they’re so serious and has made it clear living together indefinitely is not what the Obamas do.”
Malia was talking about moving to England with Rory “but, of course, Michelle nixed that too,” adds the source.
However, Malia’s not the only target of her 57-yearold mom’s meddling, spies claim.
Younger sister Sasha, 20, who attends the University of Michigan, is facing the same problems, say sources.
“Sasha can commiserate because Michelle needs a background check before she
dates anyone,” reveals the insider. “She doesn’t even want to bring guys home to meet her parents because Michelle’s all over them giving them the third degree.”
Friends confide Michelle’s a worrywart who can’t accept that her daughters are all grown up. Malia has appealed to her dad, Barack, to step in, “but he’s just as afraid of Michelle as her daughters are!” tattles the insider.
The former commander in chief admits his wife “is the top dog” and their daughters “are scared of her. “Michelle says that you have to always have at least one parent who the kids think is a little bit crazy and might actually kill you.”
