Plans to invite estranged dad Bill Hudson to her wedding
ROM-COM cutie Kate Hudson is setting up an explosion at her upcoming wedding to singer Danny Fujikawa, with plans to invite her estranged dad, Bill — over the bitter objections of her mom and his ex-wife — Goldie Hawn, sources say.
The 42-year-old actress has “softened a lot” toward 72-year-old musician Bill and believes her wedding to Danny, 35, is the perfect place to reconnect with him and her three half-siblings.
Bill has Emily, 39, and Zachary, 35, from his second marriage to Laverne & Shirley star Cindy Williams and a 15-yearold daughter, Lalania, with author Caroline Graham.
“Kate’s said she’s going to invite everyone she loves and that it’s going to be big, and it doesn’t seem right not including Bill,” an insider blabs.
“He’s still her dad. She wants to fix things and be a part of her half-siblings’ lives, too. Family is everything to her.”

But sources say still bitter Goldie, 75, blew like a “nuclear explosion” and was “freaking out” when she heard about her daughter’s plans to invite Bill.
“There’s no way Goldie will tolerate having Bill at the ceremony,” says the source. “In fact, she forbade Kate from inviting him and told her in no uncertain terms that it’s either her or him.
“So far, Kate’s not giving in, not yet anyway.”
As GLOBE previously reported, mom of three Kate blindsided Goldie and her lover of 38 years, Kurt Russell, who raised Kate, with the bombshell to invite Bill and her half-siblings in January.
“Danny is keeping his head low while they duke it out,” says the insider. “He doesn’t want to tick off either Kate or Goldie by getting in the middle of their argument.
“But at the same time, he understands Kate’s need to reconnect with her biological father while he’s still around.
“The guy’s 72 and life is too short to hold onto grudges.”
