Doctor calls bull on actress’ claim ‘high metabolism’ makes her skinny
SCARY-SKINNY Sharknado blonde Tara Reid is being urged to seek help after posting shocking skeletal photos a doctor says show she’s shrunk to a ghastly 85 pounds!
The 5-foot-5 walking toothpick recently stunned fans with pics of her looking gaunt and emaciated.
A once-curvy bombshell, the 46-year-old American Pie actress snapped back at horrified fans, who remarked on her skin-and-bones figure.
“To all who made their great comments exposing their hate for my artsy picture I posted yesterday, it was the angle,” she writes on social media.
“I have a high metabolism. Anyone with a high metabolism understands it’s impossible to gain weight.”
She added she remains thin even though “All I do is eat!”
But sports medicine expert Dr. Gabe Mirkin, who has not treated Tara, says
her high metabolism argument holds no weight and he doesn’t buy her claim that she eats a lot.
“She’s very, very thin, I’d estimate that she’s as low as 85 pounds,” says Mirkin. “To get that thin she has to be severely limiting her calories.
“That’s not from burning too many calories. That’s from not taking in enough calories.”
While the National Lampoon’s Van Wilder star keeps insisting she’s fine and naturally slender, pals fear she’s deluding herself and needs to face the bone-chilling truth.
“She’s been this way for many years but at some point Tara needs to stop deluding herself and figure out a way to bulk up,” dishes an insider.
“Her argument about a high metabolism being to blame is all well and good, but it’s shocking to see her looking like a walking skeleton.
“People have tried to talk sense into her countless times, but she just shoots them down in flames with delusional excuses.”
