Brutal dad blames family feline for tot’s fatal injuries
MONSTROUS Minnesota dad Kristopher Henderson brutally beat his two-month-old daughter to death — then claimed the family’s fat cat crushed the innocent infant, cops claim.
According to investigators, heartbroken Shelby Goodrich says her child, Adaline, was fine when she left for work — but Henderson, 39, texted her at 5 p.m. to claim he found their 19-pound pet “laying” on the tiny tot.
When she returned to their Mankato home, Shelby was horrified to find her child’s eyes “bulged out” of her head and rushed her to an emergency room, according to police.
Docs discovered tragic Adaline had bleeding on the brain, fractured ribs and two broken legs — and ultimately determined she’d never recover.
Cops were called in and questioned Henderson. They say the deranged dad first played dumb — then told them the same tall tale about the tubby tabby!
However, docs insisted the child’s injuries were consistent with “non-accidental
GLOBE / December 20, 2021 trauma” — and couldn’t have been caused by an animal.
Authorities claim when they continued to grill the goon, he admitted being “a little rough,” while changing the little girl’s diaper during the September incident.
Investigators say during a follow-up interview, the creep copped to having “cradled the child facedown in his arms and struck her back more forcefully than usual” for five minutes in an attempt to quiet her cries — and eventually “admitted he had hit the victim hard enough to break her ribs.”
Adaline was removed from life support last month after being declared brain dead at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester.
Autopsy results are still pending, but Henderson was charged with seconddegree murder without intent while committing a felony and firstdegree manslaughter while committing malicious punishment of a child.
He’s being held on $1 million bail at Blue Earth County Jail.
Shelby recalls her daughter was “a very happy baby,” and adds, “She was my world, and now my world will forever be a darker place without her.”
