ELLEN POMPEO fears her former Daredevil co-star Ben Affleck’s chance of a happy marriage to Jennifer Lopez is doomed because he’s not ready to settle down and may end up cheating, say sources.
Ben, 49, and J.Lo, 52, who were first engaged back in 2002, are already planning to wed after rekindling their romance last spring, spies dish.
But Ellen, 52, who’s been married to Chris Ivery since 2007, is warning Ben to slow down, sources say.
“Ellen doesn’t want to see Ben rush into marriage. She thinks it would be a big mistake,” says an insider. “She isn’t saying he’ll never be ready, but she thinks he needs to pump the brakes for now.
“She just
doesn’t understand why he’s in such a rush.”
Before becoming TV’s most successful actress on Grey’s Anatomy, Ellen co-starred in Daredevil and had a front row seat to the collapse of Ben’s first romance with J.Lo since the flick also starred Affleck’s first wife and baby mom, Jennifer Garner.
“Ellen, Ben and Jen were all shooting Daredevil when everybody believes Ben and Jen fell in love, with J.Lo pretty much left in the dust,” snitches the source.
“Now Ellen is concerned he’s not truly ready to commit and isn’t ready for a powerful woman like Jennifer Lopez to share his life.”
