Car king busted for hiring hitmen to grease lover & cash-crazy beau
CHEATING Texas tycoon Erik Charles Maund paid a whopping $750,000 to three hitmen who rubbed out his mistress and her boyfriend because they threatened to tell his wife about the sordid affair, feds charge.
Amazingly, after his galpal Holly Williams, 33, and her boyfriend William Lanway, 36, were brutally executed, Maund left a brazen glowing review on the killers’ security company website, gushing: “Speartip is very professional and on top of it. They get the job done in an expedited time,” according to a federal indictment.
Head of an Austin Volkswagen and Toyota dealership, Maund, 46, was busted on the same day as Gilad Peled, 47, Bryon Brockway, 46, and Adam Carey, 30. They were all charged with conspiracy to commit kidnapping resulting in death and other counts on Dec. 10.
Peled, a former Israeli soldier, and ex-Marines Brockway and Carey supposedly specialize in handling blackmail cases, lawmen claim.
According to the indictment, shortly after Maund got in touch with Holly about seeing her while he was visiting Nashville in February 2020, her boyfriend Lanway contacted the automobile fat cat and threatened to expose the fling to his wife, Sheri, unless he paid hush money.
Maund then hired the security trio, paying them $15,000 for a report on where Holly and Lanway lived and the vehicles they drove, the feds say.
On March 11, armed Brockway and Carey ambushed Holly and Lanway in the parking lot of their West Nashville apartment complex, according to lawmen.
They riddled Lanway with bullets, stuffed his corpse in the trunk of his Acura sedan and drove it with Holly to a remote road under construction, where they shot her dead, according to government files.
The car with the bloody corpses was found down an embankment and crashed into a tree on March 12. Brockway and Carey returned to Austin and Maund wired $750,000 to Peled’s account, say federal documents.
In his review of the killers’ “Speartip” security agency, lawmen say a very satisfied Maund wrote: “Couldn’t imagine using anyone else!!”
