SPAIN’S OLD KING DODGES $100M BRIBERY PROBE
SPAIN’s womanizing King Juan Carlos has beaten a corruption kickback case that claimed he raked in a whopping $100 million in payoffs over a railroad construction deal.
Swiss prosecutors dropped their probe into the bribery scheme after being unable to find evidence Saudi Arabia’s late King Abdullah shoveled loot into an account for Juan Carlos in 2008 so Spanish rail firms would build a high-speed line from Medina to Mecca.
Prosecutors say they couldn’t find a “sufficient” link between the slush fund account and the train contract.
However, Juan Carlos later transferred the dough from the Swiss bank to a Bahamas account of his former mistress, sources say.
The 84-year-old disgraced king took the throne in 1975, but abdicated in 2014 amid financial scandals.
The father of three with wife Princess Sofia of Greece and Denmark, who he wed in 1962, Juan Carlos is a notorious cheater who’s bedded at least 5,000 women, including his cousin Prince Charles’ wife Diana, according to one biographer!
