Think I’m Sexy singer’s recent concert before Prince William and wife Kate was slammed by critics as “awful because he was rambling and slurring and his movements were awkward,” spills an insider.
While the British icon was belting out One More Time with his all-girl band, dressed in matching leopard outfits, social media was flooded with posters who hated the act.
“Rod’s really feeling the backlash,” tattles the insider. “This is the guy who said he could drink as much as he wants and still do music, but obviously his unhealthy lifestyle is catching up to him.”
He’s also getting an earful from third wife Penny, 50, mom of sons Alastair, 16, and Aiden, 10, who’s tired of the scratchy-voiced couch potato’s wine guzzling, spies claim.
“She’s sick of him lazing around and falling asleep night after night after wine,” says the source. “When he’s awake, he seems more concerned with his hair and outfits than pleasing her.
“He’s become a bore — and what’s more, he snores!”
Rod, who just pleaded guilty to simple battery over a Palm Beach dust-up, has extended his Las Vegas Caesar’s Palace residency by ten shows. But spies say he needs to up his act onstage after his last flop.
