FEARS BEHIND BETTY’S 100TH BIRTHDAY BASH

Beloved legend suffering in secret

AILING Betty White’s star-studded 100th birthday celebration is being treated as a sad farewell behind the scenes as the beloved showbiz legend secretly battles health issues, insiders say.

The once bubbly broad from The Mary Tyler Moore Show and The Golden Girls is now frail, losing her memory and suffering chronic pain so agonizing she can barely walk, sources claim.

The few times she’s been spotted out, she was clinging to an aide for support.

“She’s toothpick-thin and very feeble,” says a friend. “She’s often short of breath.”

And fear of deadly COVID has turned her into a tragic recluse!

“She has rarely been seen in public during the past few years,” says an insider close to the iconic actress.

“Betty’s been afraid to leave her home due to COVID. Her 100th birthday will undoubtedly be her last hurrah!

“She wants to go out on a high note — which she will, with this party!”

White turns 100 on Jan. 17, and her star-studded bash is scheduled to be streamed and shown in theaters on that day.

Expected A-list guests include Tina Fey, Robert Redford, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Clint Eastwood, Morgan Freeman, Jay Leno, Carol Burnett, Craig Ferguson, Jimmy Kimmel, James Corden, Jennifer Love Hewitt, and her Hot in Cleveland co-stars Wendie Malick and Valerie Bertinelli.

Meanwhile, the Emmy winner is reportedly secretly suffering from forgetfulness and is unable to remember certain names, spies dish.

“But she’s refusing to get tested for Alzheimer’s,” the source notes. “She says that at her age she doesn’t want to know.”

Longevity expert Dr. Gabe Mirkin says at her age, Betty could drop from heart failure at any moment since “your heart becomes weaker just because you’re getting older.”

Noted New York internist Dr. Stuart Fischer adds “her heart could fail, her liver could fail, her lungs can become dry and she could develop COPD [chronic obstructive pulmonary disease].

“Up until now, she’s been a living miracle. But, sadly, no one, even unsinkable Betty White, can live forever.”

The doctors quoted in this article have not treated Betty White.
