Humiliates royals by suing government to get his way
PETULANT Prince Harry has taken the British government to court to obtain costly police protection when he brings his wife and kids to visit Britain — even though he quit official royal duties to chase fame and fortune in Hollywood!
The 37-year-old Duke of Sussex claims he, wife Meghan, 40, and kids Archie, 2, and Lilibet, 7 months, have received “neoNazi and extremist threats” that require extra security, but he doesn’t want to hire a private protection team.
Only the government’s specially trained operatives are good enough for the pampered prince, who sources say humiliated the royals with his legal action.
Harry’s uppity demand infuriated British lawmen.
Former royal protection officer Ken Wharfe says, “Harry is now a private citizen, domiciled in a foreign country — entirely by his own choice. If he is granted the services of the Metropolitan’s royal protection squad, every visiting Hollywood star and wealthy celebrity may as well expect the same privileges.”
Ex-Met Police officer Dai Davies adds the queen’s own daughter, Princess Anne, who is Harry’s aunt, was kidnapped and her protection officer was shot — but even she does not get full-time protection despite the incident.
According to Harry’s legal eagles, who filed a claim for judicial review, the rogue royal’s ready to foot the bill for government security “as not to impose on British taxpayers.”
But Harry’s older brother, William, 39, and father, Prince Charles, 73, believe that’s hogwash and are furious over his brazen demands, claim sources.
“Once again, Harry and Meghan expect to be treated regally after ducking out on their royal responsibilities,” sniffs an outraged palace courtier. “This is another stunt to shame the royal family — and, sadly, it’s worked.”
