JESSICA CHASTAIN’S SECRET RISE FROM RAGS TO RICHES!

How dirt-poor kid became a countess and movie goddess

-

SCREEN beauty Jessica Chastain has gone from rags to riches — once a poverty-stricken child of a struggling single mom to a glamorous movie star and wife of a real-life Italian count!

The 44-year-old redhead, who plays country queen Tammy Wynette in the upcoming Paramount+ TV miniseries George and Tammy, says “people expect me to have a different background.”

But instead of a high society childhood, the well-spoken beauty, who is now an actual countess and star of the just-released spy thriller The 355, grew up dirt poor.

One of five kids with a struggling single mom in Sacramento, Calif., she says she was the first in her family to “not be pregnant when she was 17.”

“I grew up with a lot of resentment,” she says. “So because I come from that place, I know what it’s like.”

Jessica admits she lucked out with “people who saw I was struggling as a kid and they helped me. And that’s why I ended up where I am now.”

She got a job at the exclusive and costly Juilliard School, which paid for her study at the famous acting school.

She was in Paris the day she was nominated for an Oscar for The Help and met dashing fashion publicist Gian Luca Passi de Preposulo, an Italian nobleman. They got hitched in 2017 and a year later welcomed daughter Giulietta by surrogate.

Now, looking back on her childhood, she’s become a booster for the underprivileged and the underdog. “I don’t [want] anyone else to be denied anything, in terms of a voice, being seen, being acknowledged and valued,” she says.
