But Clarkson fears cash war will never end
DESPERATE Kelly Clarkson is down in the dumps after caving to ex-hubby Brandon Blackstock’s money demands and giving him a big-bucks share of her Montana ranch, sources tell GLOBE.
Worth an estimated $45 million with an annual income in excess of $22 million, the TV star singer believes Brandon, 45, is going to leech off her the rest of her life, insiders say.
Kelly just took a huge financial hit — $908,000 — agreeing to hand Brandon a 5.12 percent stake in the ranch a court already ruled was all hers.
“She’s tried fighting him, but Kelly is under the impression she’s locked in a war she’ll never completely win,” spills an insider. “It makes her sick and angry knowing she’s driving herself into the dirt to pay this douche and he’ll be a very rich man off her hard work.”
As GLOBE previously reported, Blackstock made the ranch his permanent home after Kelly slapped him with divorce papers in June 2020 following seven years of marriage.
Kelly was awarded the rustic abode by a judge last October, but the Breakaway hitmaker lost an attempt to boot her ex from the property two months later.
Now Kelly fears Brandon will next attack her full custody of their kids, River Rose, 7, and Remington, 5.
“Those kids mean more to her than money,” says the source. “It’s a stressful situation and keeping her up at night. She’s crying to her friends in private but is still determined to keep her head up in public.”
