SPY thriller Killing Eve returns to TV this month for its fourth and final season, with Jodie Comer once again stepping into the shoes of psychopathic assassin Villanelle. The meaty part won her a 2019 Emmy Award, and late last year, the Liverpool native notched her first big Hollywood roles in
Ridley Scott’s The Last Duel and Shawn Levy’s comedy Free Guy. Here are ten things you don’t know about the 28-yearold actress.
1 In high school, she met future track and field Olympian Katarina Johnson-Thompson, who’s still a close friend.
2 Before her acting career took off, she worked as a supermarket checker.
3 While shoveling down pasta for a scene in Killing Eve, she nearly choked to death. “A medic came in and managed to get it out, but my life definitely flashed before me,” Jodie recalls.
4 She’s a fan of Bruce Springsteen and says he’d be her dream dinner party guest, along with “my nana Frances.”
5 She turned down an offer to appear on Strictly Come Dancing — the British equivalent of Dancing with the Stars — because she feared embarrassing herself on the ballroom floor.
