$495,000 — but it’s a fake!
While the 1977 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am sold at the Barrett-Jackson’s Scottsdale 2022 auction is a deadringer for the V8 muscle car driven by Burt Reynolds in the hit 1977 hit flick, this one never appeared in the film.
Instead, it was a gift to Burt, who died at 82 of a heart attack in 2018, and does have his signature on the glove box!
