CLUELESS Courteney Cox has finally jolted awake and says she NOW sees what her friends have been trying to tell her — her overkill cosmetic procedures make her look “strange!”
The 57-year-old Friends alum admits she “didn’t know” how weird she looked after she went “crazy” with cosmetic helpers like facial injections, plumpers and fillers in a vain attempt to turn back the hands of time.
Critics even accused her of looking like a zombie!
“I’m a product whore,” Courteney reveals. “I will try anything.”
But now that she is staring down the barrel of turning 60, she claims she is laying off cosmetic procedures and trying to age gracefully.
“There was a time when you go, ‘Oh, I’m changing. I’m looking older.’ And I tried to chase that [youthfulness] for years.
“And I didn’t realize that, oh sh*t, I’m actually looking really strange with injections and doing stuff to my face that I would never do now!”
Confused Courteney acknowledges she packed on the procedures even when appalled pals begged her to stop.
She says if she were to post before and after pics of her
face, she knows what the caption would be: “I’d say, ‘The day you realize what your friends were talking about.’ ”
The Scream actress — who shares 17-year-old daughter Coco with ex-husband David Arquette and is now engaged to rocker Johnny McDaid, 45 — blames the disconnect between how she looked and how she thought she looked on all the pressure in Hollywood to look amazing.
“The scrutiny is intense!” she whines.
