A SPINELESS Washington driver making a bare-bones attempt to skirt the law was caught driving in the HOV lane — with a plastic skeleton in his passenger seat!
State Patrol Trooper Rick Johnson says the fake figure did not qualify the driver to use the carpool lane on southbound Interstate 405 in the Coal Creek area — even though it was safely buckled in and sportily attired in a yellow hoodie.
Drivers have gone to great lengths to pretend they have a live passenger so they can knock a few minutes off their commute — including having mannequins, blow-up dolls and CPR practice dummies riding shotgun.
