SCREEN stud Matthew McConaughey reveals a miraculous ointment grew his hair back — but a lying doc has been blabbing he gave the actor a transplant.
The 52-year-old Dallas Buyers Club Oscar winner confesses his hair loss got so bad years ago, he was shaving his head.
He was able to reverse his balding with a topical ointment, which he won’t name, rubbing it into his noggin daily.
“I was fully committed, I was fully committed to it — no Propecia, no nothing, it was just manual labor,” the actor says. “All I can tell you is it came back. I have more hair now than I had in 1999.”
Meanwhile, he says he learned a hair specialist has been going to conventions falsely claiming he gave the actor an expensive transplant.
While his hair’s fine now, the actor, who’s used the cream for 20 years, says: “I’m not gonna quit to see if, like, ‘Oh, do I need to do it anymore?’
“I’m not taking that chance.”
