MY GUNFIGHT WITH A KILL-CRAZY MOOSE!

Alaskan sled racer’s hour-long nightmare as giant monster savages dog team

-

AMONSTER moose attacked an Alaskan sled team in the winter wilderness and kept stomping on four helpless huskies for over an hour — even after several bullets tore into his hide!

Horrified musher Bridgett Watkins was training in a remote area for the legendary 1,000mile Iditarod race when the marauding bull moose cut off her team.

“As he charged me I emptied my gun into him and he never stopped,” recalls Bridgett. “I ran for my life and prayed I was fast enough to not be killed in that moment. He trampled the team and then turned for us!”

Bridgett and a friend trailing in a snowmobile hid by the machine after they saw the gun had no effect on the maniac mammal. Bridgett managed to cut loose some of her dogs, but the antlered attacker began stomping the poor creatures still tethered to the sled — and wouldn’t stop!

“I have never felt so helpless in my life,” says Bridgett. “He would not leave us alone!”

The ordeal didn’t end until over an hour later, when a friend showed up with a high-powered rifle that finally stopped the bully Bullwinkle in its tracks with a single shot.

A local veterinarian treated the four stomped dogs. Remarkably, they are all on the mend — and Bridgett says they will race again!

“These are freaking amazing athletes that just survived probably the most traumatic experience of any dog team ever in history,” she says. “They’re survivors and they’re still pushing through!”

But Bridgett says she has upgraded her .380 caliber gun to something with more firepower as she trains.

“That would be asinine to go back out there on the same trail, the same place, and not have a gun where I can’t truly put down an animal if I have to,” she admits.
