DENTIST BROKE PATIENTS’ TEETH TO FIX THEM!
DIRTY dentist Scott Charmoli purposely damaged teeth with his drill so he could bill insurance companies and patients for pricey crowns. Now, the Wisconsin menace is feeling the harsh bite of the law!
Charmoli, 61, was convicted of health care fraud for the sick scheme, which generated more than $4 million in bogus charges!
During his trial, an insurance executive testified other dentists in the state installed fewer than six crowns per 100 patients, but the twisted tooth-wrecker’s rate exceeded 32 per 100 patients. Sources claim the busy fraudster attached more than 1,600 crowns over a 20-month period!
Former patient Todd Tedeschi says, “He was the professional. I just trusted him.”
The scammer’s rotten deeds were discovered after he sold his practice in 2019 and the new owners reviewed its records.
Charmoli could get up to 20 years in prison at his sentencing in June and still faces nearly 100 medical malpractice lawsuits!
