MURDAUGH PAL CAUGHT IN MAID INSURANCE SCAM
JUNKIE lawyer Alex Murdaugh’s attorney buddy Cory Fleming is accused of helping the South
Carolina scion pocket major moolah meant for his late housekeeper’s kin in a $4 million insurance scam!
Fleming, 53, was indicted on 18 charges related to his handling of a wrongful death claim for the family of Gloria Satterfield, who suffered a fatal fall in 2018 at the drugaddled bigshot’s Colleton County hunting lodge.
Prosecutors charge Fleming “surreptitiously” delivered $3.4 million to his longtime pal and kept $140,000 for himself, while Satterfield’s sons didn’t see a dime!
Murdaugh, 53, was also socked with four new charges, bringing his total to 75. He remains behind bars on $7 million bail after allegedly enlisting a hitman to murder him in 2021 in a botched attempt to leave his own $10 million life insurance payout to his last living son, Buster.
Prosecutors say the stunt came four months after money-challenged Murdaugh’s wife, Maggie, 52, and son Paul, 22, were murdered.
Murdaugh has since copped to an opioid addiction and faces accusations he swiped more than $1 million from his former law firm.
He and Fleming insist they’re innocent of all charges, but Murdaugh remains a person of interest in Maggie’s and Paul’s slayings.
