NIP/TUCK DOC LIFTS VEIL ON A-LIST SECRECY
Extreme measures prevent curious fans from nosing around
NIP/TUCK guru Dr. Ashkan Ghavami, the self-proclaimed plastic surgeon to the stars, reveals A-list clients keep their procedures secret by forcing his staffers to sign nondisclosure agreements and using private doors so regular patients won’t see them coming or going.
Kim Kardashian and Aussie rapper Iggy Azalea are among the few stars who have admitted to having his beauty work, Ghavami says.
“Iggy gave an interview on her breast and her nose. That openness allowed other people to request her type of nose,” he says.
But for most celebs, top secrecy is important so “my staff has to sign a confidentiality agreement so they’re not allowed to talk about what they’ve seen and hear,” the medic reveals.
Regular patients have a waiting room, but celebs use “back entrances for both the clinic and the surgery center, and we time and stage it.” Some even wear a wig, mask or being recognized.
The building is also large so if someone spots a celebrity in a hall or elevator,
“they won’t necessarily know where they’re going to because there’s like 300 offices. They could be visiting their lawyer or their dentist.” Some clients are “foreign dignitaries” who come with armed “bodyguards or some kind of entourage. And sometimes part of the entourage hangs out in the hallway to make sure there’s nobody with like a camera hanging out.
“So I in 15 years have never had an issue or a breach.”
