SALLY FIELD, 75, has won two Oscars and awards galore in her illustrious Hollywood career. But it’s starting out in Gidget, a goofy TV comedy series about a teenage beach bunny, that has a special place in her heart. “I have had so many moments that were important. I mean it’s obvious that the films I had the opportunity to do were complicated, interesting work with good and strong directors,” recalls the legend. But, “It all started with Gidget in 1964, and that was a pivotal moment. I loved Gidget. The fantasy was so ideal. I had a yellow-and-pink bedroom, and I had all these cute boys that would hang out with me.”
