ANDREW CAUGHT IN $1.4M SCAM!
Dirty duke, ex-wife & kids all scored cash from old lady’s plundered fortune
DISGRACED Prince Andrew is tangled in a new shameful scandal involving a mysterious $1.4 million payoff an elderly woman claims was stolen from her by the rogue royal’s close pal Selman Turk!
Middle Eastern businessman Turk, 35, was first introduced to Andrew three years ago by another friend of the prince — Tarek Kaituni, a convicted Libyan gun smuggler — and apparently wormed his way into the Duke of York’s inner circle with lavish dinners, gifts and money, say sources.
Turk’s shocking payout to Andrew was revealed in a British lawsuit filed by 77-yearold Nebahat Isbilen, the wife of Ilhan Isbilen, a member of Turkey’s parliament. She fled to England after her hubby was imprisoned over a political dispute. She asked former Goldman Sachs banker Turk to move her $90 million fortune out of her native country to Britain, court papers reveal.
She now charges Turk, winner of Andrew’s mentorship program, scammed her out of $52 million — and $1.4 million of the stolen cash ended up being paid to the prince, who’s now reportedly returned the money.
She claims Turk, who lives in a residence owned by Queen Elizabeth, told her the payment was for Andrew’s help in getting her a passport, which the royal denies.
Turk instead claims she shelled out the dough to Andrew on “her own initiative.”
The mystery gets even more puzzling with court documents showing Turk also gave the woman’s money to Andrew’s family, including ex-wife Sarah Ferguson and their daughters, Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie.
Andrew’s former private secretary Amanda Thirsk claims a $1 million payment to Andrew from Turk in November 2019 was “a wedding gift” for Beatrice, who married Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi in July 2020.
According to court papers, Turk also gave $300,000 to Andrew’s ex and $33,000 to their youngest child, Eugenie. Andrew also received $500,000 through Turk.
Sarah’s payment was supposedly for work she did for the Pegasus Group, a development firm, in the U.S., say documents.
So far, Andrew and his family are not accused of any wrongdoing and Sarah’s spokesman says: “The duchess was completely unaware of the allegations that have since emerged against Mr. Turk.”
Friends of Beatrice claim she was completely “blindsided” by the huge money gift Andrew gave to reportedly pay for her wedding.
Ironically, instead of a huge shindig, the wedding ended up being a small affair attended by just 20 people in Windsor Chapel due to COVID lockdowns.
The 33-year-old princess tells pals she doesn’t know Turk and is devastated at being linked to the scandal.
“She knew nothing about this, poor thing,” insists her friend.
After meeting Andrew in 2019, Turk invited the royal to din-dins at his South Kensington home and reportedly helped fund Fergie’s glittering 60th birthday bash in October of that year.
Meanwhile, Mrs. Isbilen’s legal action comes on the heels of Andrew’s estimated $16 million civil court settlement that squashed a rape claim by Virginia Roberts Giuffre, a former sex slave of his pedophile pal Jeffrey Epstein.
Giuffre claims Epstein, who died under mysterious circumstances in a federal prison in 2019, and his now convicted sex-trafficking madam Ghislaine Maxwell pimped her out
The case comes on the heels of Andrew’s scandal involving former sex slave Virginia Giuffre
when she was 17 to the then 41-year-old prince in 2001. As GLOBE reported, settling Giuffre’s suit saved Andrew from having to testify under oath what he did or did not do and what he knew about Epstein and Ghislaine’s sex trafficking ring. However, Andrew still insists he never met Giuffre — despite a photo showing him with his arm around her.
As for the new lawsuit involving Turk, a royal follower notes “even if it’s all an innocent mistake, Andrew has once again brought more scandal and disgrace upon the monarchy.”
The prince, who has been forced to retire from royal life and lost his military and civil honors, has not explained why he took the cash in the first place.
