New birth control pill for men!
✚ A NONHORMONAL male birth control pill has proved 99 percent successful with limited side effects in lab tests on mice, according to a new study. University of Minnesota scientists developed YCT529, which they say temporarily inhibits a protein essential to sperm production but doesn’t impair future fertility.
“YCT529 is the furthest ahead of all contraceptive agents for men,” explains team leader Gunda Georg. The researchers hope to launch clinical trials in humans within two years.
