SICKO sex fiend Steven Ray Hessler was socked with a 650-year prison sentence for a series of brutal home invasion rapes in Indiana after DNA collected from a water bill sent his freedom down the drain!
Hessler, 59, “terrorized” Shelby County from 1982 to 1985 by “breaking into several homes in the middle of the night while armed and wearing a mask, and attacking, raping, binding, threatening, and sexually torturing several local women” — including a 16-year-old girl, according to prosecutor Brad Landwerlen.
The monster also pistolwhipped one male victim so badly, the guy spent months in a coma and had to relearn how to talk. The man is now confined to a wheelchair.
Lawmen flushed out hellish Hessler using genealogical DNA information to identify him as a suspect. His fate was sealed when authorities snagged a utility bill envelope he’d licked, which contained DNA matching crime scene samples!
According to investigators, a search of the “master sadist’s” home turned up a “treasure trove” of evidence, including 30 pairs of women’s panties, photographs of victims and handcuffs and ski masks used during the assaults.
Before the perverse predator’s sentencing on rape, burglary and other charges, one of his ten victims called Hessler the “very epitome of evil.”
