Kelly Monaco lost love of her life
SOAP siren Kelly Monaco has been in a tailspin since ex-beau Heath Freeman’s fatal overdose last November, according to pals who are desperate to help the shattered General Hospital beauty.
Although the 45-year-old hottie broke up with Freeman, who played Howard Epps on Bones, in 2014, spies dish she’s still fixated on him and convinced he was her one true love!
“He was one of her best friends so his sudden death hit her very, very hard,” says a source. “She’s been totally grief-stricken for months.”
The never-wed former Playboy model just obsesses over her ex and what might have been — if their four-year romance endured, the source says.
“She’s started saying
Heath was her soulmate, that she made the biggest mistake by breaking up with him,” says the source.
“Kelly is such a sweet person and normally so happy and carefree, it’s really hard for her friends to see her this way and not know how to help her.”
Freeman, 41, was found dead at his Austin, Texas, home from a combination of booze, fentanyl, cocaine, hydrocodone, oxycodone and Xanax on Nov. 14.
Kelly was so devastated, she skipped work for weeks — leaving Passions actress Lindsay Hartley temporarily filling her role as Sam McCall on the ABC soap.
“She’s back at work now, putting on a smile in public but privately is still in a world of pain,” the insider says.
