Shrink bares bizarre reason Amber and Johnny got violent
EXPLOSIVE testimony at the $100 million Johnny Depp–Amber Heard defamation trial drove one truth home — their blood-stained marriage was a living hell for BOTH of them!
A marriage counselor who tried to umpire the couple’s ugly quarrels back in 2015 — the same year they married — told a Virginia court, “they engaged in what I saw as mutual abuse” with insecure Amber giving as good as she got!
“She would strike him to keep him,” says Dr. Laurel Anderson, who adds 36-yearold Amber’s “worst nightmare” was having the Edward Scissorhands star stalk out the door.
“She would rather be in a fight than have him leave!”
But Anderson says Depp, now 58, also initiated violent rumbles, calling Amber “whore” and accusing her of riding his coattails to fame!
Depp even lost a 2020 libel suit in England over being called “a wife beater,” with a judge ruling he had attacked Amber often enough that the accusation was “substantially true.”
The bitter couple, who met while filming The Rum Diary, divorced in 2016 after 15 months of marriage. Depp forked over $7 million and both agreed in a joint statement their relationship had been “intensely passionate and at times volatile,” but they claimed, “There was never any intent of physical or emotional harm.”
However, the toxic tussle doesn’t seem to end!
Depp sued his ex in 2019 for $50 million for writing an op-ed piece he insists implied he was an abuser. He claims the article cost him his stake in the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise. Heard has slapped back with a $100 million countersuit, saying Johnny has dragged her name through the mud.
Trial testimony has painted their marriage as a monstrous misfire, with Johnny and Amber “triggering” each other into murderous rages!
“They don’t communicate,” Anderson says. “They have terrible skills.”
