FREE bird NIC CAGE is, well, a little different. The 58-year-old Leaving Las Vegas Oscar winner keeps a talking African pied crow, Huginn, and devotes his Sundays to watching detailed documentaries about other high-flying mysteries!
Says Nic, who’s expecting a baby with his fifth spouse, RIKO SHIBATA, 27, “My wife actually laughs at me, because on Sunday, I like to just trip out and watch documentaries about flying saucers and UFOs. I just like watching people talk about their experiences. I find their behavior so interesting. I don’t really know the explanation for why, I’ll just go stream movies about the historical aspect of people seeing flying saucers. I find it oddly relaxing and mystifying and confounding.” Kind of like his menagerie. “I have dogs. I have cats. I have Huginn,” says the actor, who had kept an $80,000 twoheaded snake he gave to a zoo — because the heads would fight over food! But his zoo is “all unconditional love and it’s very close, very affectionate and palpable.”
