Army numbskulls face conspiracy rap after pal’s severed noggin washes up on beach

-

SEVEN North Carolina– based soldiers who were the last to see a murdered Fort Bragg paratrooper alive are facing court martial — two years after the missing man’s severed head washed ashore!

Sgt. Samuel Moore, Pfc. Samad Landrum, Pvt. Annamarie Cochell and Spcs. Juan Avila, Alex Becerra, Joshua Curry and Benjamin Sibley were slapped with multiple charges — including conspiracy and disobeying a COVID19 travel ban — following the suspicious death of decorated Spc. Enrique Roman-Martinez, 21.

Becerra, Cochell and Landrum are also each charged with using the hallucinogenic drug LSD.

All seven have been arraigned, and their trials are currently slated from May to September.

However, Army officials stress no one is facing any charges directly connected to the California native’s killing.

Enrique vanished during a Memorial Day camping trip to Cape Lookout National Seashore with his fellow Fort Bragg soldiers.

Nearly 17 hours after his disappearance, Becerra called 911 on May 23, 2020, and claimed Enrique had wandered off around midnight the previous day, leaving his belongings behind.

Six days after the human resource specialist was reported missing, his noggin was discovered on nearby

Shackleford Banks Island — with multiple chop injuries and two jaw fractures. The rest of his body was never recovered.

But his family suspected foul play from the beginning.

“My brother can’t see without his glasses, so for him to walk out in the middle of the night without his glasses, it’s not likely,” says devastated sister Griselda Martinez.

Shockingly, sources claim a staggering 83 active-duty soldiers stationed at Fort Bragg died in the 18 months ending June 2021. Only 11 of these deaths were attributed to natural causes. Though some have been chalked up to suicide, in no fewer than 33 cases, the Army has classified the cause of death as “undetermined.”

Officials say Enrique’s murder was moved to cold case status. But the Army’s Criminal Investigation Division continues to offer its $50,000 reward for information to resolve his mysterious end.

According to Griselda, her brother joined the military at age 17 because “all he wanted was to do good in his life.”

She adds, “This should never have happened to my brother.”
