Rapper fiancé busted for street shooting
ALREADY the victim of a violent exboyfriend, pregnant Rihanna is being pressured by loved ones to dump her fiancé baby-daddy-to-be A$AP Rocky after his shocking shooting arrest and talk he’s been cheating, insiders say.
The 33-year-old rapper, real name Rakim Mayers, was collared by cops just after he and the Diamonds songbird flew into L.A. via private jet from her Barbados homeland. Both were blindsided.
“Her friends and family are in a total panic and begging her to walk away from Rocky and his troubles,” tattles a tipster.
“They’re pushing hard for her to call off the wedding and cut her ties with him. The way they see it he’s only going to drag her down.”
The LAPD claims the New York–born rapper fired shots at a pal during an argument last November and one of the bullets grazed the victim, whose name is being withheld by lawmen.
Rocky’s been released on a $550,000 bond. “He’s denying everything to Rihanna but this has absolutely shattered her. She doesn’t know what to think,” squeals the source.
But Rocky “has a history of violence,” spills the spy.
The Fashion Killa rapper was a 16-year-old drug dealer and served jail time for attempted murder after shooting at a man who was trying to bully him. The bad boy musician was also busted and convicted of assault for a 2019 street fight in Sweden.
Recent rumors also accused him of cheating on Rihanna with designer Amina Muaddi, which she slammed as an “unfounded lie.”
Meanwhile, as GLOBE previously reported, Rihanna was beaten to a bloody pulp by then-beau, singer Chris Brown, in 2009. He pleaded guilty to a single count of assault and got probation.
“Now Rihanna’s loved ones are saying Rocky’s a bad apple, too, and pleading with her to get away before it’s too late,” adds the source.
