NEWLY declassified documents reveal al-Qaeda’s terrorist kingpin Osama bin Laden was planning another devastating 9/11-style attack on America when he was killed by U.S. troops during a black ops raid on his Pakistan stronghold!
But, if successful, the new assault would be even more daring and deadly than the 2001 jetliner hijackings that brought down New York City’s twin-tower World Trade Center, damaged the Pentagon and left nearly 3,000 dead.
In a letter captured by Navy SEALs during their 2011 raid that resulted in 54-year-old bin Laden’s death, the terrorist writes to another al-Qaeda leader, “Rather than hijack a plane, operatives should charter one for their next attack on the U.S.” If that’s too difficult, suicide teams should target U.S. railways and oil yards, he orders.
Islamic scholar Nelly Lahoud has been studying the bloodthirsty radical’s plans and says bin Laden, who had a degree in engineering, “wanted to have 40 feet of steel rail removed so a train could be derailed. And we have him explaining the simple toolkit that they could use.”
He suggested using a “compressor” and a “smelting iron tool … to cut out bits of track.”
The murderous plans were part of a trove of 500,000 letters and other papers nabbed by SEALs and turned over to the CIA, which recently made the files public.
They show bin Laden also planned to cripple America by sinking oil tankers off the Middle East and Africa.
He advises his attack teams to disguise themselves as fishermen in ports and buy boats that can evade radar to carry explosives.
“The boats need to carry a large volume of explosives, preferably placed in an arch position, facing the vessel,” bin Laden writes.
“It does not escape you, the importance of oil for industrialized economy today. And it is similar to blood for human beings.
“So, if you cause somebody to bleed excessively, even if you don’t kill him you will at least weaken him.”
