“It rattles Jane’s nerves to hear Barbra talk about how SHE made Jane’s career, all because she turned down Klute, They Shoot Horses, Don’t They? and Julia,” thus paving the way for Fonda to snag those career-making roles, spills an insider.
“Jane thinks Babs is just blowing hot air and should focus on her own business!”
Jane turned the tables on her frenemy when Andy Cohen brought up the subject during a 2020 interview.
“She needs to say things like that to kind of, you know, give her a little boost,” Jane snipped. “You have to feel sorry for her. It’s been a tough life. She needs something to boost her up.”
Tipsters tattle the Yentl yenta is still irritating the Barbarella beauty by calling attention to how Jane hasn’t had a man in her life since she broke up with record producer Richard Perry in 2017 after eight years together.
“Barbra prides herself on her matchmaking skills and she’d be happy to set Jane up if she’d let her,” dishes an insider. “She feels sorry for Jane because she seems so lonely, like she can’t get a man.
