AMBER HEARD IS A HEAD CASE!
Therapist tells court Depp’s ex-wife can be violent & full of rage
JOHNNY DEPP’s ex-wife Amber Heard — who’s publicly accused the screen hunk of being a violent monster and wife beater — is a nutjob, according to his expert witness!
Clinical forensic psychologist Dr. Shannon Curry, hired by Depp’s legal team, testified for the Pirates of the Caribbean star on April 26, Day 9 of his Virginia defamation trial against the Aquaman beauty.
Curry’s diagnosis — after interviewing the actress for 12 hours and studying case materials — is the 36-yearold blond bombshell suffers from: histrionic personality disorder (HPD) and borderline personality disorder (BPD).
She notes the key features of HPD are “drama and shallowness.”
People like Heard feel “extreme discomfort with not being the center of attention” and will react by “making up stories to try to get attention, taking on a victim or princess role,” Curry says.
The shrink notes Heard displayed “quick shifts” in emotion: “She would suddenly be very animated or very sad. There’s a sense of shallowness almost like play acting.”
Folks with HPD are “very interested in looks, utilize their looks to get attention” and use “manipulation to get their needs met,” says the licensed therapist.
As for BPD, Curry says Heard had a “temper” and “cut her arm in the past, [a] typical, reactive type thing” people with the disorder do.
Her “former friend” Raquel Pennington claimed Heard “struck her in the face, sort of out of the blue,” says the doctor.
Curry says that’s typical of BPD where if a friend or loved one isn’t meeting their needs, they feel wounded and angry and can lash out.
But Heard’s attorney noted Pennington had first “hit Ms. Heard” and the actress “pushed or slapped her in response.”
Curry also admitted she believes there was “some sort of violence both ways” in Depp’s relationship with Heard.
Depp, 58, is suing his ex over a 2018 Washington Post article where she claimed she was a victim of domestic abuse, but did not specifically name him. However, he insists it was implied and derailed his career.
Heard is countersuing for $100 million.
Depp previously lost a similar case he brought in England.
