NBC News correspondent STEPHANIE GOSK, 50, took a “gruesome” spill during a 65-mile group bike ride in suburban New Jersey. After slamming into a pothole, “I slid along the pavement. My head hit and my face dragged,” she spills. “My helmet was cracked clear through in two different places.” She required stitches over her eye and needed surgery on her right thumb. Ouch!
