Fires spin docs & alters trial tactics as Depp witnesses rip her to shreds
RAVAGED by damning testimony describing her as an explosive harpy, Amber Heard is fighting back against ex-hubby Johnny Depp with a series of desperate moves as she’s painted as a loser in the court of public opinion — if not the actual courtroom.
The fired Pirates of the Caribbean stud had the Aquaman beauty drowning in her own fury at their Virginia defamation trial, where he’s suing her for $50 million for portraying him as an abusive monster in a Washington Post op-ed.
Johnny, 58, appeared to have the jury eating out of his hand with gripping testimony and even laughter claiming he was the target of 36-year-old Amber’s violence and abuse during their 18-month marriage — and her claims of domestic abuse sank his career.
A shrink for his side, Dr. Shannon Curry, who’d examined Amber, testified the actress suffered from two personality disorders, was “manipulative” and “shallow” and if she wasn’t “the center of attention,” she would make “up stories to try to get attention, taking on a victim or princess role.”
Freaked Johnny’s popularity was soaring with a whopping 15 million followers on Instagram as a result of court testimony. Meanwhile Amber, who insists she was abused by Depp, axed her PR team Precision Strategies on April 28, just days before she was to testify.
She also tried to have the case tossed, claiming Depp hadn’t proved his charges, but the judge denied her motion.
The most damaging testimony came earlier from her personal nurse Erin Falati, who treated the actress starting in August 2014 and described the blond bombshell as a mess.
In a video deposition, Falati says Amber admitted “a history of substance abuse including an addiction to cocaine and liquor. She drinks one to three glasses of red wine a day.
“Client admits to a history of anxiety, eating disorder, attention deficit disorder, bipolar disorder, codependency issues and occasional insomnia, identifies as bisexual, and was married to a female partner prior to "Depp.
Falati says when frustrated, Amber reacts with “anger and yelling” and sudden mood swings.
“You see someone sad and quickly transition to extreme happiness … like a pendulum,” says the nurse.
Amber also had “jealousy issues and anxiety” over Depp’s fame and “ability to interact with females.”
