IDOL WINNER CAGED FOR BUGGING EX’S BEDROOM!
AMERICAN Idol champ
Laine Hardy was tossed in the clink after a former girlfriend accused the country crooner of planting an audio recording device in her Louisiana State University dorm room!
The 2019 winner of the reality TV contest was arrested after the creepedout coed, whose name was withheld by officials, discovered a voice-activated recorder beneath her bed and called the cops.
Authorities charge the Memorize You singer, 21, left the item behind “to monitor her conversations” after their four-month fling fizzled in February.
A booking document states the gal told lawmen Hardy, who’s not an LSU student, previously copped to bugging her room while they dated.
If found guilty of spying on his onetime sweetie, the musician could face up to ten years in prison.
His attorney C. Frank Holthaus says Hardy, who was booked into
East Baton Rouge Parish Prison, will “continue to be completely cooperative” with investigators. He was released on $5,000 bail.
