A DERANGED dad is charged with brutally bashing in his teenage daughter’s head with a metal pole and rubber mallet — because he didn’t want her to go to her high school prom!
“I lost my mind, went out of control, and beat the sh*t out of her,” cops say Mohammed Almaru wrote to one of his sons, apparently confessing to pounding 17-year-old Mia Maro to a pulp.
Before her death Mia told school chums her dad terrified her and she thought he would kill her, police say.
The 42-year-old Chicago man has been charged with first-degree murder.
Charging documents say Almaru went through his daughter’s phone and believed she was “lying” to him, so he refused to let her attend her school prom.
The girl’s mother, Audrey, was disabled by a 2019 brain injury. She also lives in the house where a worried aunt found the teen’s battered body. The mother’s sisters are listed as Audrey’s caregivers, not her husband.
