HUMBLED HARRY NA SORRY STATE!
Prince demanding royal apology to save showbiz deals and his marriage
HUMILIATED Prince Harry is demanding an official apology — from Queen Elizabeth herself — after he and wife Meghan were shunned by his royal kin and publicly booed at British festivities marking the monarch’s historic 70-year reign, palace sources say.
While Harry and Meghan were horrified by their stonecold royal reception, highlevel courtiers tell GLOBE the rogue couple’s financial future — and even the strength of their marriage — seem to be behind the Duke of Sussex’s brazen demand.
“Harry and Meghan’s success in Hollywood is critically tied to their status as royal celebrities,” says a palace insider. “They were cast aside, sidelined and relegated to second-fiddle status during the Queen’s Jubilee, which punched holes in their standing as royalty. Their fairy dust is fading, which is bad news for their Hollywood dreams.
“But an apology from the queen and the rest of the royals would go a long way to restore their celebrity credentials — and keep their marriage intact.”
Recent events, including Harry and Meghan’s abrupt departure from Britain, indicate “all’s not well” with the couple, says acclaimed royal commentator Richard Eden. “I sense there’s a bit of trouble there.”
A palace source suggests Harry and Meghan’s failing Hollywood ventures may be at the root of any marital problems. Meghan’s animated series, Pearl, was axed by Netflix — and their Kardashian-style reality show for the streaming giant took a hit when they were shut out by the royals.
Queen Elizabeth, 96, forbid Harry from taking photos of her first meeting with his yearold daughter, Lilibet — fearing images of the brief 15-minute encounter would turn up on U.S. TV. Netflix cameras were also banned from other intimate royal family gatherings to thwart any potential commercial exploitation and make sure the couple “didn’t score a publicity win,” according to an insider.
In fact, Harry, 37, and Meghan, 40, got no pictures with any senior royals and left town before the weekend celebrations were even over, cementing the view their loss of royal insider status has become very real. Insiders
suggest that puts their $100 million Netflix deal — and marriage — in jeopardy!
“With Harry’s outcast status becoming ever more apparent, we wonder if Meghan will stick around since she seems to be all about status and social climbing,” sniffs the courtier. “It would be Harry’s worst nightmare if Meghan walked away — and took Lilibet and their son, Archie, with her!”
But an apology from the queen would defuse the situation, insiders dish.
Harry is determined to get one and feels he deserves it, says royal biographer Angela Levin.
However, the duke and duchess shouldn’t hold their breath.
Harry’s father, Prince Charles, and brother, Prince William — both future kings — are “drawing a hard line,” says the palace source. “Harry and Meghan’s past accusations of racism, betrayals and callous behavior by the royals threatened the future of the monarchy.
“Charles and William cannot forgive or forget. There will be NO apology!
“Harry and Meghan are outcasts — and only have themselves to blame — for their battered egos. They should be the ones saying ‘sorry’ for the hurt and scandal they’ve caused. They’ve made their bed and must lie in it!”
