FLAMING GASHOLE TRIES TO STEAL FUEL
PRICES at the pump are a hot topic. But a blazing bozo in Utah sparked a calamity by drilling into a truck to steal its gas — and setting himself alight!
Surveillance footage captured the cheapskate exiting a pickup next to a vehicle for a fire protection company and attempting to tap its tank!
“The guy tried to siphon gas out of it, and he wasn’t getting the siphon to work,” says Travis Mills, branch manager for Summit Fire and Protection. “So he decided to drill the gas tank — and that’s when he caught on fire.”
Shocking security video recorded the would-be thief underneath the truck before jumping up and running away with his shirt in flames. He rolled on the ground to extinguish the mini inferno, and an accomplice helped him back into the pickup.
“Times are tough for a lot of people, but it’s not worth the $5 he would have saved for the injury the guy sustained,” notes Mills.
The extent of the man’s burns — and his identity — weren’t immediately clear.
But the manager says the reckless raider is lucky because “if there were more gas in it than a gallon, this thing would have absolutely turned into a bomb.”
