WRESTLING honcho Vince McMahon is on the ropes over claims he paid a former WWE employee $3 million to keep her mouth shut about their affair!
McMahon stepped back from his role as WWE chairman and CEO after the corporate board launched an investigation into the terms of a non-disclosure agreement he had the woman sign in January, insiders say. His daughter, Stephanie, will assume his duties.
McMahon, 76, is married to wife Linda, 73, who founded the company with him.
But the WWE board learned of the accusations and the peculiar payoff from a series of anonymous emails claiming Vince doubled the paralegal’s salary to $200,000 once sex was involved and “gave her like a toy” to head of WWE talent relations John Laurinaitis!
WWE has said Vince’s relationship with the woman was consensual — but he and Laurinaitis haven’t publicly responded amid talk of hushmoney deals with other gals.
