FEISTY SHIRLEY MACLAINE, 88, LIVING IN PAIN

HOLLYWOOD legend Shirley MacLaine has been complaining to pals about pains in her fingers, leaving friends fearing she’s facing arthritis hell if she doesn’t get medical help!

But the 88-year-old actress refuses to retire despite the agony — she co-stars with Game of Thrones star Peter Dinklage in the just-released American Dreamer and has two more projects out this year.

While her hand pain hasn’t been diagnosed, “she’s 88 and arthritis is one of those things that happens when you get a bit older,” spills an insider.

“It doesn’t take a genius to guess what’s going on.”

While she can still act, the pain is crippling “her love to write by hand,” the insider notes.

“She’s written many books on her life and metaphysics but it’s hard for her to take up a pen now because her fingers are so cramped. Anyone can see it’s painful for her to move them.

“Her friends are gently suggesting she get herself checked and treated.”
