Joy feels she should be moderator since she’s been there since 1997, a source says

JEALOUS Joy Behar has targeted rival Whoopi Goldberg for the chopping block so she can take over The View’s No. 1 cohosting slot by summer’s end, sources tattle.

“Joy’s been quietly campaignin­g for Whoopi’s removal,” snitches an insider. “She’s said for months now Whoopi’s a liability and it’s in everyone’s interest if she gets greased so the ratings can improve and they can bring in new talent.”

Meanwhile, the 79-year-old schemer, who recently signed another three-year contract with ABC, intends to stay on the hot seat until she rots and is slamming rumors she’s quitting following her shocking on-air face plant.
