CONTROL-FREAK CLOONEY SPARKS HEALTH FEARS!
FUSSY filmmaker George Clooney has been pushing himself to the limit with projects in Europe while secretly jetting back and forth to L.A. for the briefest of biz meetings — and friends are urging him to stop being such a micromanager or he’ll ruin his health!
“George is driving himself like a man half his age and no one can talk him into slowing down, not even Amal,” spills an insider. “He’s go go go all the time and there is concern the adrenaline will run out!”
As GLOBE previously reported, Clooney’s intense work ethic collided with his health in 2020 when he came
down with pancreatitis, which he believed was linked to his extreme diet before making the post-apocalyptic sci-fi drama The Midnight Sky.
“I think I was trying too hard to lose the weight quickly and probably wasn’t taking care of myself,” the actor admits.
Tipsters tattle the pressure is intense for Clooney, 61, to deliver more than ever — and he refuses to delegate!
“He’s got half a dozen projects going at once and he’s producing and writing and starring,” dishes an insider. “Even in the age of Zoom meetings, he can’t make deals remotely. They want to see him in the flesh, and he’s often jetting in on 24-hour turnaround for quick meetings!”
Sources say the “very picky and particular” star has made Lake Como, Italy, the center of his moviemaking world, but when it comes to getting funding for a film, “George has two choices — he can come to L.A. and kiss the rings of the big company bosses or he can roll the dice and try to raise money for his projects independently.
“The money and conditions are always better when you get in bed with the studios, and that’s what George has had to do!”
