DISNEY ON BOARD WITH PIRATE DEPP
DISNEY booted Johnny Depp from their Pirates of the Caribbean movie franchise after exwife Amber Heard’s domestic abuse broadside, but his Capt. Jack Sparrow robot made a comeback when the thrill ride reopened at California’s Disneyland weeks ago.
Part of the park since 1967, Pirates had been closed since March 4, but for the reopening, Disney’s website boasted: “Keep a spry eye out for sly Captain Jack Sparrow.”
Just weeks before the announcement, Depp won $10 million in damages at a Virginia civil trial over claims Amber defamed him.
