LOOSE-CANNON LAWYER SHOT WIFE & SON DEAD!

Cops claim they’ve solved Murdaugh family massacre

-

SKETCHY South Carolina legal scion Alex Murdaugh was charged with murdering his wife and troubled son at the family’s luxurious $4 million hunting lodge more than a year after their gory gunshot deaths created a nationwide sensation!

Once a prominent attorney, Murdaugh, 54, could face the death penalty if convicted for killing his 52-year-old socialite wife, Maggie, and son Paul, 22, whose deaths exposed the local powerbroker’s bizarre and scandalous secret life.

Murdaugh is already jailed and facing trial for a series of financial crimes exposed during the murder probe — and is now being investigated for a series of other suspicious deaths! His high-flying life unraveled when Maggie and Paul’s corpses were found in an Islandton retreat, which has since been sold.

Lawmen say the stay-athome mom was killed by a rifle, while the youngest of her two boys was taken out by shotgun blasts to the chest and head.

At the time of their June 2021 slayings, young Paul was awaiting criminal trial for boating

under the influence following the 2019 death of pretty pal Mallory Beach, 19.

Paul’s father had told a 911 operator he’d stumbled upon his lifeless spouse and son — and initially claimed to be visiting the family’s dying patriarch in a hospital at the time of the executions.

But an insider close to the investigation says Paul’s recovered cell phone contains a video that captured audio of the elder Murdaugh talking to Maggie on the night of the murders — and its time stamp could be a damning piece of evidence! What’s more, the insider squeals a shirt worn by Murdaugh on the fateful night showed high-velocity impact blood spatter from at least one of the victims!

Murdaugh, who denies killing his wife and son, has been held behind bars on $7 million bail since October. That’s when lawmen say he copped to hiring a hitman in a botched assisted suicide scheme, which was a failed attempt to leave a $10 million life insurance payout to surviving son Buster.

The now disbarred attorney, who has confessed to being an opioid-addicted pill popper, was also hit with 81 other mostly financial-related charges — and has pleaded not guilty.

Authorities allege he stole millions from clients and his former law firm — which was founded by his own greatgranddad. He’s also accused of defrauding the family of his former housekeeper out of a $4.5 million insurance settlement after she died in a mysterious 2018 slip-and-fall accident at his home! However, he proclaims his innocence in the cases.
