JITTERY Jennifer Lopez hauled lover Ben Affleck to Las Vegas for a quickie wedding ceremony before the Batman hunk could back out with “cold feet,” a source claims.
The longtime lovers, who broke up just days before a 2004 marriage and didn’t reunite until last year, got hitched suddenly at Sin City’s Little White Wedding Chapel on July 16 with her daughter, Emme, 14, and his, Seraphina, 13, witnessing the ceremony.
Winging back by private plane to their L.A. love nest, the honeymooners celebrated with pizza and Diet Coke for reformed boozer Ben.
Jennifer, 53, masterminded the “rush” event fearing Ben, 49, would bolt as he did in 2004, according to sources.
“She was ready to get married since the night Ben proposed,” tattles a spy. “She wanted to lock this down and remove any chance for cold feet ASAP.”
The quickie event comes
as no surprise to GLOBE readers. In the June 27 issue, sources revealed Ben was moaning about being fasttracked by J.Lo, who wanted a quickie wedding followed by a second huge bash.
The road to the altar has been long and bumpy for the soulmates.
Divorced three times, Jennifer shares twins Emme and Max with ex Marc Anthony while Ben’s dad of ex-wife Jennifer Garner’s kids, Violet, 16, Seraphina and Sam, 10.
But thrilled J.Lo crows: “We did it. Love is beautiful. Love is kind. And it turns out love is patient. Twenty years patient.”
