BROKEN Brad Pitt flew to Italy to beg vengeful Angelina Jolie to end their long cash and custody war — even if it costs him a fortune and a ton of pride, spies say.
The 58-year-old Troy hero and Angelina, 47, have been locked in a bitter war over their minor children, Zahara, 17, Shiloh, 16, and twins Vivienne and Knox, 14, since 2016. Two other kids, Maddox, 21, and Pax, 18, became legal adults during the feud, which now extends to Europe.
A U.S. judge allowed Angelina to take the brood to Rome where she’s directing the flick Without Blood over the summer and Brad had to fly 6,300
miles for a custody visit.
“But he also went there hoping he and Angie can hash out some compromises,” a source says.
In addition to custody arrangements, the bitter exes are clashing over their $320 million French vineyard, Chateau Miraval, which they purchased together in 2008.
Angelina has sold her 50 percent share to ruthless Russian oligarch Yuri Shefler, who’s being probed for links to the deaths of three business rivals — and Pitt is freaked out.
The Once Upon a Time in Hollywood Oscar winner slapped the Maleficent movie witch with a lawsuit accusing her of vengeance by seeking to “inflict harm” by forcing him to deal with “a stranger with poisonous associations and intentions.”
Says the insider, “Brad’s convinced she’s sold her share to this seemingly dangerous guy because she’s vindictive. Friends are worried for Brad’s life and they’ve urged him to do whatever it takes to end this war.” Brad is even ready to pony up more dough, spills the mole.
“He’s happy to pay if that helps,” adds the insider. “He just wants his life back and all this mudslinging to stop. But more than anything he wants to see his kids.”
