CELEBRITY SILLY SEASON IS TOTAL BURE!
THE ridiculous feud between former Full House star Candace Cameron Bure and Dance Moms hoofer JoJo Siwa is a reminder of how silly and petty celebs can be.
The ruckus began when 19-year-old JoJo went on
TikTok social media with her list of the “nicest,” “coolest” and “rudest” celebs — and crowned Candace as queen of the boors.
Why Candace, 46, whose long list of credits includes sitcoms Full House and Fuller House and Hallmark Channel’s current Aurora Teagarden Mysteries, should care about what this basically unknown twit says is anyone’s guess.
But as GLOBE reported, insiders insist Candace is very thin-skinned and bristles when she’s called out for posting social media pics of her former pro hockey star hubby, Valeri Bure, or their three kids.
After JoJo’s jolt, Candace claimed she could only recall meeting JoJo when they guested on The Kelly Clarkson Show in 2019 and things went well.
Later, the gals talked and JoJo explained the “rudest” comment was linked to her childhood when, as a fan, she met Candace at the Fuller House premiere and felt snubbed.
“I was 11 years old and we were all on the red carpet. And when I had come up to you and I said, ‘Can I have a picture with you?’ and you said to me, ‘Not right now,’ and then proceeded to do what you were doing and take pictures with other people on the red carpet.”
In their recent talk, Candace said she was “sorry” and JoJo replied it was “no big deal,” she realizes Candace wasn’t really “mean,” but was just busy with other things at that moment.
So why did JoJo make a “big deal” out of it now and trash Candace on social media?
Posters blasted JoJo as “strange and creepy” and a “wannabe celebrity.”
“My opinion is Siwa is jealous,” writes one. “Candace is talented where Siwa has none.”
Says another: “Very immature girl seeking publicity. Still claiming to be a victim.”
In other words, this whole phony tempest in a teapot was seemingly drummed up by
JoJo for publicity.
And — unfortunately — it worked!
Critics have previously suggested overly sensitive Candace concentrate on her family and acting career — and stay away from social media.
As for JoJo — if she quit social media, nobody would know who she was!
